The Husband and I have just reached another milestone: Successful completion of our very first "married filing jointly" tax return. There were some scary moments like the ones where both of us were shuffling through every piece of paper in the apartment and yelling, "Where the christ did I put last year's return?! Sonofanunholybitch!" We emerged harried and groucy, yet ultimately triumphant, and now we wait with greedy, baited breath for the refund to show up in the bank account. God bless e-file and direct deposit.
